I am a simple person, living a simple life, in a simple town. I have many food restrictions due to allergies so I know how hard it is to change your life style. After getting allergy tested, I had to clear out all foods that contain: milk, rice, rye, tomatoes, corn, eggs, and tea. You may not think that this is a difficult task, but do you have any idea how many different forms of corn there are out there!? I KNOW how hard it is to get started and to get motivated. I KNOW how difficult it is to crave different foods. Mostly, I know the motivation that you need to rid your life of all the "bad things" (in this case, bad foods).
I have decided to take on the 21 day fix to not only get more toned, but to get an overall better self. I find myself looking up exercise related things, following fitness posts on Instagram, Twitter, and TwoGrand. I find myself pinning various workouts and tips and techniques and healthy recipes, but I find myself quickly getting away from the task at hand, getting fit!
By completing the 21 Day Fix, I am required to complete different workouts fresh off a knee surgery. As much as this frustrates me, it also motivates me to get moving. I know I won't be able to do the exact workouts, but I can modify them until I can complete them regularly. I know that I will be sore because I have been stuck with my leg in the air for weeks.
Recently, I have been asked to become a BeachBody Coach and I was hesitant at first because realistically, I don't have a "beach body". At the same time, I was born and raised in Punxsutawney, PA (town in Western PA) so I never had the need to have a "beach body". By becoming a coach, I have even more reason to stay accountable.
Instagram: look up hashtags for 21dayfix or 21dayfixrecipes or just fixfood. You will find a ton!
Twitter: following fitness motivational people. I'll list more in a later post.
TwoGrand: my newest app. This app is basically a food/fitness version of Instagram. Still does not have a lot of 21 day fix-ers on it, but it does have a lot who are Paleo and Whole 30 which you could use some of those recipes.
Pinterest: This is where I get most of my recipes that I use. Eventually, I will post my actual recipes on here, but most likely, I will do this over the summer when I am out of school.
