Ever wonder how you can avoid the unflattering results of too many carbs? I will be the first to admit that I am head over heels in love with carbs! I mean, who doesn't love a good plate of pasta with delicious garlic bread!? Well, not all bread is terrible for you! You did need a well balanced meal that does involve carbs. Completely avoiding them is completely ridiculous in my opinion.
As many of you may know, I'm allergic to corn. So I can't have anything with corn, high fructose corn syrup or even corn starch. Losing the corn instantly makes my bread healthy.
Always check that first ingredient. A good bread has whole grain or whole wheat flour. This is key. Some breads will say wheat flour.. totally not the same. That is adding to the carbs. Since there are so many different bread choices out there now there really isn't an excuse to choosing the wrong kind of bread. My favorite is the Ezekiel Bread. Now I get mine in Giant Eagle in the frozen section (thanks Marci for informing me that it was there) rather than ordering it from amazon! I didn't mind buying it from amazon, but the only way to get a decent price was buying 6 at a time! I clearly didn't have the space to hoard 6 in my freezer so this became a pain.
