Chili for when you are Chilly

Sitting in the woods hunting gives you a LOT of time to think. Typically, I think about food and the thousands of things that I should be doing that I'm putting off to spend time with my dad hunting. If you know ANYTHING about you, you will know that TIME is the MOST IMPORTANT thing to me. I am constantly saying that I don't have time to do things and commenting that I don't understand how so many people have all this time to do things that they do.

After FREEZING this week in the woods, I figured a great quick meal would be Chili. I also got to thinking that it is funny that it is called chili but you eat it when you are chilly. **Whole other rant there**

What you will need:
Ground Turkey
Onion
Kidney Beans
White Beans (I used kidney again)
Diced Tomatoes
Crushed Tomatoes
Cumin
Chili Powder
Cajan Powder
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Red Pepper Flakes
Sugar/Stevia
In a pot, brown your ground turkey and onions.

Once your meat is fully cooked, dump in your tomatoes, beans, and spices. I just cut up tomatoes and then tossed some in my ninja. (I apologize-- I lost these pictures but I will retake them next time I make this chili). For the spices, I probably used a tablespoon of chili powder and a tsp of cumin, Cajan, onion and garlic powder. I also put in 2 packets of stevia to take away some of the acid in the tomatoes. I also put about 4-5 shakes of crushed red pepper flakes in for a little spice.

Stir everything together so it mixes well and let it simmer until everything is warm and the tomatoes cook down into a paste like sauce.

QUICK and EASY!

In my own bowl, I added some brown rice and a few splashes of hot sauce for a little extra kick! :) You could also top this with a little cheese.

If I was doing the fix, I would count this as a purple and 2 yellow. *1 blue if I added cheese.
