Broccoli Pizza Crust

I sure do LOVE pizza, but I hate how weighed down the carbs make me feel afterwards.. My solution used to be cauliflower crust... my NEW solution is a broccoli crust. OH. MY. GOSH. This is a wonderful crunch treat.

What you will need:
  • Large head of broccoli
  • 2 eggs
  • Mrs. Dash Southwest seasoning
  • Onion Powder
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Garlic
  • Pizza toppings of choice*

Okay, so to start, you will need your broccoli very finely chopped. I personally toss mine in my ninja and blend it all up. You could use a knife or a food processor also. I get it as fine as I possibly can.

***Once you have your broccoli chopped up, place it in a big bowl to mix everything in with it. To the broccoli mix, add 2 eggs, a few dashes of onion powder, Mrs. Dash Southwest Seasoning (add to taste-- if you like spicy, you'll add more), and about a 1/2 cup each of parmesan and mozzarella cheese.  Now I LOVE garlic, so I put 2 large scoops in. Again, this is to taste and personal opinions.

Once you have your mixture ready, take a piece of parchment paper and put olive oil on it to prevent from sticking. You could possibly skip this step, but I don't like to take my chances.

Take the crust and smear it all over the pan pushing it down to the shape that you want it. You will want it to be as tight as you can get it so it will all pack together.

I cut the edge of the parchment paper off so it was a perfectly round shape to put in the oven to cook. Put it in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, it should develop a golden brownish color and everything should start to bake together.
At this point, pull it out of the oven and place your toppings on it. I broke mine into different sections and put different things on each section of the pizza. This way I could fully experiment. Put it back in the oven for another 5ish minutes until your toppings are cooked to your liking.

Take out of the oven and let it sit for about 2 minutes to let it set. Cut, serve, and enjoy!
