4th of July Fruit Salsa

Who doesn't love a good 4th of July dish of patio potatoes or broccoli salad? I sure do... After all of my "junk" that I ate, I felt I needed to keep things clean with a nice healthy dessert so fruit salad wins!

What you'll need:
  • Flat Out Bread (Found in the bread isle)
  • Spray EVOO
  • Cinnamon
  • Truvia
  • Fruit of your choice:
    • Red Raspberries
    • Strawberries
    • Apples
    • Blueberries
Take the fruit and put it all together in a bowl. I chose to use red raspberries in mine. I started with the red raspberries and I smashed them all in the bottom of the bowl. This way I didn't need to use any fruit preserves to hold everything together. If you don't use a mushy fruit, I'd recommend using like a tablespoon of sugar free fruit preserves!

For the cinnamon chips, I used 2 different types of Flat Outs. The one was a rosemary and it was a white flat out. The other was just a wheat one. I found a star cookie cutter (stole the idea from another Beachbody Coach) and used that to cut out shapes. Typically, I just cut the pieces into triangles so they look like chips. Spray both sides of the stars with spray EVOO (comes in a can like Pam). Then mix together the trivia and the Cinnamon. Dip the chips in the mixture on both sides and place them on a baking sheet. You will cook these at 350 for 8 minutes. Once they come out of the oven, let them sit to cool or they will stick together!

I served mine on a platter and then put the salsa in a separate dish on top. Very festive and very delicious.
